Exterior and Interior Detailing - Mazda CX5

Updated: Nov 9, 2018

Vehicle for today is a 2018 Mazda Soul Red Metallic CX5.

Upon arrival to client's garage, I inspected the car's condition. Knowing it's just a year old, there shouldn't be any surprises besides your typical swirls and love marks. The mist on the paint didn't help on the inspection during the walk around.

Client did tell me that there are several rock chips and I share her concern that this could potentially lead to rust in future.

This is a "new car" package so I did the steps I normally would... wheels, wash, decon, dry, interior then paint correction.

After washing, this step revealed what needs to be addressed. When I was doing the mechanical decon I felt something odd! There was a lot of bite in the paint while I was claying. Went closer and you can hear the roughness of the hood! I thought the gold dust/flakes were the metallic flakes feature of the paint! It was paint overspray! It was uniform! The whole hood!

After three rounds, managed to remove all of the overspray that I can feel. Felt better now! Glad managed to help!

Now for the photos!
