In today's detail, client gave a call to have his Dodge Caravan interior detailed. He mentioned that it's relatively new and for a 2015 vehicle and driven only for 15k miles it should be a simple job.
Arrived at client's house and initially inspected and agreed on the initial quote. I then started to get right to it and upon lifting the third row seat to it's upright position, I saw water dripping! Not tiny drops but like a continuous leaking faucet (ok I might be exaggerating a little bit)!
I quickly looked for the client to inform him of the situation and client soon realized that it probably was due to then moving snow-covered-fallen-leaves-on-top-of-a-tarp situation! Some of the melted snow just have slipped through and ended up on the seats and carpet. Good thing he called me and we have prevented any mold setting.
Well at least we know what to deal with! We then extracted most of the water out of the seats and carpet but advised the client to have it air dried after we finish with the detail. Client has also thought of putting a blower to have air circulating as well even after putting the car in the garage.
All in all, it wasn't a "dirty" car but just a wet one!
And the Afters:
Video of dripping water! Pardon the audio at the beginning.
